## Pen & Progress - June 2024
Hey everyone!
Whew, life has truly been a wild ride as of late! I’ve got so much exciting news to share, so let’s dive right in.
### **Heartbound: The Cursed Fae – Cover Reveal & Release Date!**
First up, *Heartbound: The Cursed Fae*—**it FINALLY has a cover**! I’m beyond thrilled with how it turned out, thanks to the incredible *Book Designs by Shae*. A huge thank you to *Madeline Vaughn*, fellow author and amazing supporter, for recommending Shae to me. Madeline has been a true inspiration, so be sure to check her out as well.
As part of my ongoing contest to select a cover artist, Madeline will be receiving a signed hardcover copy of *Heartbound: The Cursed Fae*. It’s all come together in such a special way! And now, what’s a cover without a release date?! To honor my mum, who this book is dedicated to, I’m releasing *Heartbound* on **October 10th, 2024**—the 5-year anniversary of her passing. It feels right to mark this moment in time with such a meaningful release, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
With the release date fast approaching, I’m also **accepting ARC readers** and **Street Team members**. If you’re interested in helping me spread the word, you can sign up now—just head over to the link below!
### **Indie Author Book Club – Building a Community**
In addition to all the *Heartbound* excitement, I’ve officially launched the **Indie Author Book Club**! This is a way for me to build a community of support around indie authors, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Here’s how it works:
Every month, I’ll randomly draw two books from two different genres. The selected books will be announced on the 1st of each month via social media. Both books will be purchased by me and reviewed by the last week of the month. It’s my hope that others will join in by purchasing the books and reviewing them alongside me.
For **July**, we had two amazing books:
1. *The Keyholder of Time (The Tempus Guild Series)* by **Charity F. Nelson**
2. *Tomorrow Lives Today: The Singularity is Here* by **W.O. Torres**
I’m looking forward to discovering even more hidden gems with this book club and supporting fellow indie authors.
### **A Published Article in The Trainer Magazine**
Last but not least, I’m excited to share that I had a **work-related article published in The Trainer Magazine**! As a lifelong horse lover, this was such a special milestone for me. You can find the article [here](https://issuu.com/anderson-co/docs/nat-72_issuu?fr=xKAE9_zU1NQ).
Thank you so much for following along and supporting all of these endeavors. I can’t wait to share even more exciting updates in the future!
Until next time,
Holly
